Help Americans in Need Feed Their Pets – $40 Level
Help American families feed their companion pets – and help keep pets from being surrendered to shelters.
A New York Times article reported on this silent, desperate trouble more than a year ago: “Animal shelters have reported a steep rise in the number of cats and dogs being surrendered as owners face unemployment, home foreclosures, evictions and other financial hardships.”
A food aid program for companion animals is about the entire family – when you help the people, you help their pets, and when you help the pets, you’re helping the family.
You can help make sure companion pets stay in their homes and receive the nutrition they need, and help ease a family’s financial burden until they’re back on their feet. Just $10 helps a struggling American family provide food for their pets, distributed through our nation’s food banks and pet food banks.
Additional funding will be used to provide other pet essentials to families, including pet medicines.
